Monkey Wonky Moo was involved in a video game called Super Mario Bros. 12.5
but Brown Beary Wary Boo wanted him to go to Friendly’s for ice cream.
“Excuse me, Monkey Wonky Moo, I’d like to go to Friendly’s with you,
please,” the Bear said in a soft tone of voice. The Monkey didn’t reply,
didn’t even look over for a second at the Bear. The Bear raised his voice
just a tad, and repeated, “I’d like to go to Friendly’s with you,
Monkey Wonky Moo.” But he still got nothing from the Monkey.
“Monkey Wonky Moo, I’d like to go to Friendly’s with you for ice cream,
and I’d like an answer from you now. Please?” The Monkey still paid no attention.
So the Bear said, in his loudest voice.
“HEY MONKEY, I WANT TO GO TO FRIENDLY’S WITH YOU! NOW! LET’S GO MONKEY.
STOP PLAYING YOUR GAME AND GO WITH ME FOR ICE CREAM NOW! NOW NOW NOW!!!”
The Bear, receiving no response from Monkey Wonky Moo,
and really wanting some ice cream, decided he’d leave, and go alone.
A half-hour later, the Monkey’s game ended. He stood up, stretched and yawned,
and said out loud, “Where is Bear? He was supposed to come and get me.
We Were going out for ice cream. Darn it, I really wanted to go too!
Oh well, I might as well play another game of Super Mario Bros 12.5 while I wait for him.”
And Monkey Wonky Moo sat back down and began playing the game again.
And again And again. And if you went to visit the Monkey today,
he’d still be playing Super Mario Bros 12.5!
